Neons and Valentines Day...FUN

Here's a fun card I threw together for a few challenges, sorry guys, running to OR (8hrs up and back), won't be able to reply to any comments for a few days, threw this together to fit several challenges...  This card is for SSS (Danish Hearts)flickr  Love challenge, MFT sketch challenge, i was also inspired by the Papercrafter's corner (the variegated red /orance heart  and outer mix of the collage in gray), I used DCWV Girls Stack and DCWV "The Girl Power Stack" and the black cloudy edge was Fiskars Advantedge "up in the cloud", hope you like...The Ribbons were two kinds of American craft, two strips on the bottom with the contrast center taping the two bottom layers together... although I used more neon's I did use three hearts like in the Waffle flower challenge and the gray pocket contrats along with the gray corduroy.

Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate Mini Album--MIL Birthday Gift.

I usually don't post this many pictures, but this time there is so much going on in the album, I've never tried to make one before and am totally pleased with how easy it was to make the mini album.  I took the January Challenge and decided to choose the theme Birthday to give to my mother-in-law...The majority is Graphic 45 "Time To Celebrate", I didn't have the ornament for the front so I used Add a Little Dazzle metallic paper cut with Fiskars Jenni Bolin "Jenni's Label" with a Momenta Metal "Birthday" over it.  Most of the ribbons where Offray and American Crafts "Elements", The laces were Simplicity.  Most of the tags were Studio 112 (I ran them through my sticker maker and glued the duplicate on the other side to make them stronger.  I also used a Spellbinders "Majestic Adoring Square" cut in half.  Cosmo Cricket "Evangeline " stacked stickers, and Petaloo Flowers.  I used black Cardstock which I fussy cut to highlight many of the Graphics 45 stickers and cardstock stickers and chipboard pieces.  I did a collage first and then below a variety of different views of this project..  This is entered into Grapics 45 January Challenge and Creative Color Challenges
Pink + Green + Pattern Paper + Laces; Dazzling Diva Challenge #60 flowers(not a flower but used it on the front of the book); Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #8 - Something New for the New Year  (most everything was new).  Also for the Crafty Gals corner--Challenge 4 try something new...(as i mentioned before I've never tried to make a mini album.. Also entered in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: anything goes.

Birthday/valentine

Here is a card I made using Treasured Times Stamps  the Treasured time stamps were: Thomas Love On The Road by Erica Nicomedi. and Floral Fence By Tracey Malnofski.  which I put together using masking and then cut out using my Silhouette (Pixscan) and Simon Says Stamps (hearts)..  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir.  The Clouds are Maya Road covered with Petal Soft.  The sentiment I made up myself and used Hallmark Card Studio (fonts were SWPartay Thyme and SWSwirl Dance) and adjusted it to make a wave design and printed it out on Graphix Vellum.  I used Versamark white to tint the vellum on the top sentiment to make it look like it was part of the cloud.  I used Wink of Stella on several of the hearts.  I am entering it in SSS Monday Challenge (Up in the Clouds), SSS flicker challenge.  I also entered it into SugarPea Design's Birthday Bash Hop.  . Stampin' Royalty Challenge #264 Love/Valentines

Valentine for boy

Here's a masculine valentine for my grandson.  I combined a variety of challenges here, SSS spots n dots for the Flickr group, using "Monster Hugs", I used Add A Little Dazzle Red Metal added black ink and then Distressed it. with  Core'dinations"Sand it" that I won in a blog hop."  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Pens.  The Sizzix Embossing Folder "Mail Set"  was used for the card itself and the Metal.  for the background I distressed it using "Color Box" pigment ink as well as the four lighter envelopes.  The little hearts and Buttons were from Jillibean Soup, and the Black polka dot were cut from Doodlebug Designs.  I fussy cut out the mail and monster in the mailbox, the all are attached with varying degrees of 3'd foam for more dimension, I added google eyes on the monster (the one in the mailbox used two different sizes to look more like the stamp.)  I used Glossy accents on the "4 u" also.

This is entered in a variety of challenges: Dazzling Diva's 58 pink, red, white.  SSS Flickr challenge 10 "spots n  dots", SSS Monday Challenge "Ink it", SSS Wednesday Challenge "It's a Guy thing", Eileen Hull's "Art with a heart, fresh", and maybe a few others, will update below with the links...Thanks for looking.

Aunt's Birthday

Here is a mixed media card I made for my aunt, I used papers from a new pad by K&C the Best of Susan Winget.  The Die was Spellbinders Label 18 and I cut a second one in Vellum to frame the butterfly, The upper flowers were Petaloo (won in a blog hop) and lower flowers and leaves and pearls were left over from my wedding decorations (as were the pearl clusters in the upper right corner).  The Prima Metal Lyric Paper Clip holds a Momenta Metal heart.  The Sentiment was from David Tutera. the Stamp was from Graphics 45 "A Time to Flourish",  The flower trim was Simplicity and the Organdy was  from Ribbon Trends.  I highlighted some on the Butterfly and flowers with my Spectrum Noir Pencils.  The Washi tape dots somehow lined up perfectly with the paper, and was courtesy of of Papercrafter's Corner, and for their Challenge it was the MESSAGE, not the picture that inspired me..

This is for the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge "Something new for the New Year" most of the card is something new except for the wedding stuff and Spellbinders Die, for CCNS Challenge #67 Pink and Polka Dots,  For the Creative Colors Challenge 27, Pink, Blue,White., flowers and a Sentiment.

Thank You Mixed Media

Here's a card for several challenges.  The Papercrafter's Corner Challenge had lots of  fun pastel colors and what looked like pink and blue flowers and flourishes and some white-space (the postcard) and I found that in my DCWV stash and found "The Girls Stack" and then searched for several sheets that worked perfectly and thought I'd look at their sketch to see if I could work them in together (I altered it somewhat to have it horizontal and flipped some papers around)!  Also, the Cure for the Monday Blues challenge on Fill Your Paper With The Breathings of Your Heart applied too, so I put them all together here...  I used May Arts Ribbon that I won, DCWV "The Girl Stack", Penny Black Post Card Stamp (THANKS SUZI), Then filled it in with Heidi Swap, I used a variety of flowers I won from Petaloo and Momenta Metal bird and a Key.  The wood chip banner courtesy of Papercrafter's Corner winning, and Sentiment courtesy of Margie H by David Tutera. Also, the stamp and rose tag were from the new Graphics 45 paper, "A time to Flourish" ...For Simon Says --much of the items in my stash were old with the new Heidi Swap and Grapics 45.

Thank You

Here is a "Thank You" card.  I used  Papertrey "Beautiful Blooms", Spellbinders "Fancy Lace", and Spellbinders "Twisted Tags & Accents".  I stamped and embossed the flowers and cut them out.  I used the Spellbinders "fancy lace" and cut it twice (lining up the second attempt so it came out as one piece then cut my paper to match.  I cut the Twisted Tags using  pink cardstock then light blue vellum.  I attached the pink and blue outer edges together and then stamped "thanks' on the blue vellum.  I fussy cut the vellum slightly smaller then attached all.  I used my Xyron Sticker maker on the "fancy lace" and attached to the cardstock.  I attached the cord/lace to the edges.  I colored the flowers, leaves, and bees with my Spectrum Noir and then attached them using both 3d foam and tape.  This was done for Papertrey Colorful Corners contest.  For the Simon Says Monday "make new  friends but keep the old"  The twisted tags are one of my first dies, and the Fancy Lace I used for the first time.
